What is Bulkamid treatment?

Bulkamid is a specialized urethral bulking agent used to treat Stress Urinary Incontinence (SUI). It is a smooth, water-based gel that is injected into the wall of the urethra (the tube that carries urine out of the body). Unlike traditional "sling" surgeries that use mesh, Bulkamid is a non-permanent gel that stays in place to provide the extra support your body needs to stay dry. How does Bulkamid treatment work?
